Passion: Fuelled by Love

As we move toward Easter, we’re not just remembering an event — we’re stepping into a story. A story many of us have heard before, but one that never loses its power. Because at the centre of it all is this truth: when Jesus went to the cross, it wasn’t the nails that held Him there… it was love.

In John 3:16, we’re reminded that God loved the world in this way: He gave His one and only Son. Not because the world was easy to love, but because love is who God is. This is not a distant, passive love — it is active, sacrificial, and relentless. A love that pursued humanity again and again and ultimately sent Jesus. He is the gift we didn’t realise we needed, but the One we cannot live without.

And this is the love that fuelled everything Jesus did. Every act of compassion, every step toward Jerusalem, every moment on the cross — all of it was driven by agape love: selfless, costly, unconditional love. And then Jesus turns to His followers in John 13:34 and says, “Love one another as I have loved you.” In other words, the same love we’ve received is now the love we are called to give.

But this kind of love is not easy. It calls us to forgive when we’ve been hurt, to stay when it would be easier to walk away, to show grace when it’s undeserved. In a world that teaches us to cancel and distance, Jesus calls us to reconcile and forgive — again and again. This is the upside-down way of the kingdom: unconditional, sacrificial love for all people, just as God has loved us.

🎯 The Challenge

So here’s the question as we begin this journey toward Easter:

Who in your life needs to experience that kind of love?

Who needs your forgiveness?
Who needs your time, your patience, your sacrifice?
And who needs an invitation to come and encounter Jesus this Easter?

This week, don’t just reflect on the love of Christ — respond to it.
Ask God for the courage to love like Jesus… and then take one step toward someone who needs it.

Fools Gold

Dig Deeper

Now is the moment to delve deeper and uncover something even more precious than gold. To gain wisdom, we must move beyond a superficial understanding of our faith. We must be open to digging deeper in our connection with God.

Worth its weight in gold

I strongly believe that if we search thoroughly, we will find fake copies of almost everything God bestows upon us. However, the real version is the only one that can ever match the authenticity of the real version.

Walk through the valley.

We may pass through valleys along the way as we journey towards our destination. However, we must maintain a hopeful spirit and encourage those around us to do the same. Let's focus on moving forward and keep ourselves from becoming trapped in the valley indefinitely.

Praying for the sick

Do you feel sick emotionally or physically? Are you suffering from mental health problems? Listen to the  Word of God as Pastor Andy prays for you.

God's Grace

We marvel at the immensity of forgiveness offered to us in the gospel of Jesus Christ; we revel in the recompense freely paid on our behalf through the blood of our Saviour—but do we know just how vast and rich the gift of grace truly is?

  • Hope Based on God’s Word
  • Hope Based on God’s Character
  • Hope Based on God’s Faithfulness
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

What is the kingdom is all about?
When we take the Lordship of Christ seriously we see God’s will is done, God’s way, among God’s people.
Jesus instructed his disciples to pray for the coming of God’s kingdom, and then He explained what it would look like: God’s will being done “on earth as it is in heaven.”
